PRACTICAL WORK / CONNECTED FOUNDATIONS

Build your first backend foundations

Connect Python, Git, SQL and HTTP reasoning, then build a tested local job-processing application.

A concrete outcome

A local persistent job processor with validation, retries and tests. The HTTP course here develops client and protocol reasoning; a hosted network service is a separate next project.

This is a learning sequence. Your course map shows the actual prerequisites and readiness for each lesson.

  1. Get comfortable with the working tools

Start with Python objects, functions, collections and exceptions, plus Git snapshots and staging. The numerical ML extension is optional for this route.

  2. Give the data a reliable shape

Work through keys, joins, NULLs and transactions before the schema and relationship design course.

  3. Understand requests and trust boundaries

Bring the named Python and SQL prerequisites. Practice protocol records, bounded client policy and safe service decisions.

  4. Build and test the processing workflow

Use persisted states, duplicate handling, bounded retries and recovery to finish the durable-jobs build.
